I’ll suggest him a deal, Caroline. I am sure he’s not happy with Stefan and Rebekah killing his hybrids and I don’t want anyone getting hurt because of it. I’m tired of seeing the people I care being dragged to this.

Checking On | Caroline & Elena
At least some reaction and a honest response. Elena nodded, agreeing she would respect Caroline’s choice. She would be there for her when she needed to talk about it, if she wanted to open up with Elena, and not somebody else. “You know I’m here,” she reassured to her friend.
She glanced at her friend, her smile getting more bright and happy when she heard her asking to send Alaric her best. “Of course I will, Care, but I know he’s got an idea that you and Bonnie are there for him if he needs you. For us,” she reached for Caroline’s hand, squeezing it a little bit, then letting it go. With an air of gloom, Elena nodded. “I am fine. I’m only… This whole situation with Stefan and Damon is getting me down. And I miss Jeremy, Margaret seems distant from me… Rebekah wants to kill me, and I am now forced to help Klaus… I… I don’t know, I’m a little bewildered with all of this, but I’ll be just fine”. She finally assumed the way she was feeling. Pretending to be alright all the time takes too much of her strength, it was exhausting.
Caroline smiled at Elena gratefully. She nodded at her. “Of course I know,” she said. Caroline was really happy to have a friend like Elena. It was really good to feel that someone actually cared about perky, moody, little Caroline herself.
Caroline couldn’t help but smile. It was good that Elena visited her and made her stop thinking about her own grief for a second. Now she could to be a real friend for her, caring and helpfull. She wanted to be someone that Elena and Bonnie were for her. She wanted to their best friend and not little insecure Caroline she used to be when she was human, but a strong independent Caroline she tried to be nowadays. “But tell him this anyway. I feel really sorry for him, since he keeps dying,” she said with an honest regret on her face. She watched Elena’s face carefully, biting her lips as she was talking. “I know that things are dramatic, Elena, but you can’t change that. You just have to remember that no matter what, you’re not alone in this. You still have me, and Bonnie, and everyone. You’re not alone,” she said with a grin on her face. “You know, if you need me to kick some asses, just tell me,” she added and laughed. After few seconds she looked at Elena carefully, trying to read something from her face. “So… wait, you’re forced to help Klaus. You mean in making his hybrids?”
